Senior Project Log ver.2
This was going to be a recap of last night’s events, but it turned out to be so much more. This will be the first of many: my ideals for my senior project.
Senior Project Log ver.2
I’ve always admired resiliency. The ability to move on when fate conspires against you. The negativity of a situation can be eclipsed by you and only you. It’s a matter of choice. With everything that has transpired this month; the good, the bad, and the ugly, I can honestly say I had the time of my life. Through the experiences shared with my friends, the unfathomable shroud starts to clear. The heart may be weak, and it may even give in. But I’ve learned deep down, there’s a light that never goes out. Classes can teach you about history and math, but learning about yourselves is on a whole different level.
As I’ve said in my older posts, grades are a mere reflection of your performance in class. The effort put into doing your work can earn you an A, just as copying off a classmate can yield the same results. There are people who focus on grades because of a common fallacy. There are others who try to earn a good GPA as a self-development goal. Through that, we begin to sight of ourselves. Academics is needed in life, but the minds of many has been fixated on it. Academics is a little piece of something much greater.
-The same continuous mind numbing rhetoric overwhelming the ears. Environmental surroundings crashing down on you like tidal wave constantly beating your brain into submission, telling you who to be what to be, how to live, dress, act and think. Fitting in this perfect little box is their plan for you, blindly following the next being in front of you. Stifling individuality and independence, before long youve become a robot, another battery to propel their world until the day you learn to smash the cookie cutter. And break free of the mold, shattering the very existence laid for you to follow. You cannot fit into any given form shape style or stereotype You are who you are. Be true to your independent self.-
That’s why we need to go out there and find out. Just sitting here won’t change a thing. It’s the same old stuff. So let’s go.
